Power Line Communication (PLC) Devices: PLC-based rapid shutdown devices use existing power lines to send the shutdown command. A central control unit communicates with the devices over the power lines to initiate the shutdown process. PLC devices eliminate the need for additional wiring and simplify the installation process.
